Camper Trailer Hire Terms.
Rates (See "Home Page" for current prices)
Standby rates may be available in peak times.
All rates shown on the Home page. Quotes are given for hire in excess of four weeks.
Deposits are 25% of the total hire.
A security of $400.00 is held as a bond for damage or broken items and is held for fourteen days after the return of the van. A credit card imprint is sufficient. Long term hire will attract a bond of $300 per month.
Payments
The total hire is to be paid on departure. We accept cash, cheque, Visa, or MasterCard. A cancellation fee is applicable for cancellations within three weeks of the booking date.
Cleaning
The hire camper trailer is to be returned in a clean and tidy condition. Excessive cleaning may result in a charge against your bond.
Pets
Pets are not permitted within the bedroom area.
Smoking
Smoking is not permitted in the camper trailers.
Accidents or breakdown
Should an accident or breakdown occur, notify the hirer A.S.A.P. It is the hire's responsibility to get the camper to a safe place whilst repairs are effected to the tow vehicle or the camper. Your insurance will cover this cost in the event of an accident, but not mechanical failure.
Any damage of any sort should be reported to the local police and a report obtained. The hiree shall obtain all particulars of any other vehicle or malicious damage or theft, etc.
Damage during hire period
Any damage occasioned outside wear and tear is to be effected by the hiree or the costs adjusted against the security bond. Tyres, punctured, blown or shredded, are to be replaced prior to returning.
Any items broken or faulty can be repaired in transit and the hirer will reimburse up to $100.00 without authority. Globes, elements and the like can be fixed without reference. Receipts need to be produced.
Annexes
These options are not insurable and, the total responsibility for them is with the hiree. The cost of repairs or replacement outside the bond is to be paid by the hiree.
Restricted areas
"On road" means bitumen only other than dirt access roads to camping areas or national parks. "Off road" means all major roads and sundry roads. dirt or bitumen, other than 4WD tracks labelled "4WD only". Roads excluded for caravans such as the Tanami Track, Gibb River Road, Canning Stock Route and Sturt Stony Desert areas should be treated with caution. Camper trailers are not to be taken across swollen creeks or rivers regardless.
Consequential damage caused by poor selection of road and its conditions is to be met entirely by the hiree.
Hire periods
Our minimum hire period is four days in non-peak times and one week during school holidays.
Long term hire for touring is available.
Braking systems & electrical connections
Camper trailers have a standard seven pin flat plug and do not require a braking system.
The Jayco Finch and Eagle Outback have electric brakes with an override braking controller.
Loading and vehicle compatibility
Specs vary from tow bar manufacturers, vehicle manufacturers and road safety groups. We cannot hire to the owner of a vehicle that does not comply. We can assist with loading techniques but the ultimate responsibility is with the hiree.

Qualifications
Drivers must be over the age of 25 years and hold a current drivers license issued in Australia. The tow vehicle is to have current registration for the hire period and have a current comprehensive insurance policy.
